On the solar topic- it won't be long and solar will be able to stand on its own, and not only because of skyrocketing electricity cost. Nanotechnology is leading to "other than silicon" based products, and that changes the whole game.
When there's no longer a gov kickback needed for it to make economic sense, I'm in.
