Policing for Jesus

An Indiana state trooper has been fired for proselytizing during traffic stops. See http://www.miamiherald.com/news/nati...e70741427.html

This firing is proper and satisfactory, but I did take notice of a reference to "Policing for Jesus,' said to be a weekly radio show. One cop with a case of the Bibles is happenstance, but a 'policing for Jesus' movement is cause for concern.

I'm able to find that the 'Policing for Jesus' the radio show is the production of a trooper Dan Jones, another member of the state police force. But there are no reports of him proselytizing on state time, so it's considered acceptable. More i don't know--'Policing for Jesus' doesn't seem to have a web site....

Disquieting stuff, all in all. Police power and religion should definitely not be mixed.

Maybe if you accept his tract or tell him you are born again you just get a warning.

"Policing for Jesus" just sounds way too much like what we call "sharia law" when they do it....

Let me guess; The people behind the "Policing for Jesus" radio show and campaign aren't "lefties".

There is only one kind of creature in this world that doesn't understand how using law enforcement to shove your Christian religious beliefs onto the general public is a 1st Amendment violation.......

I'm thinkin' a right many of them are Cruz fans.
