global warming is now past the point of no return

I am reading more and more about the point of no return. It seems we have passed it. This measurement is strongly supported in many scientific circles. What is debated is the timeline of affects.

https://www.aip.org/history/climate/timeline.htm

This link is a quick summary of dates

What to do now? Live life well, succumb to anarchy, or??????

The earth really doesn't care about our continued welfare and will adjust. We, otoh, may not care for the adjustment.

If we're past the point of no return, it makes little sense to do anything about it.

Not so, but it does suggest steering away from impossible plans to rapidly stop or reverse it, in favor of limiting and mitigating.

It would depend on what's meant by "point of no return". If it's impossible to halt or even retard the amount of warming, then we may as well just party on but if we can do something to arrest warming at a point where the Earth remains habitable for some size human population, then we damn well better do something now.

Of course, we won't. Too many people are making too much money and, in the short term, the warming will benefit these people economical. Take, for instance, an ice-free Arctic and what that does to facilitate oil exploration or the wars, such as the Syrian revolt, that will inevitably result from climatological dislocation, ecological devastation and the resulting social upheaval.

The rich will continue to get richer at the expense of the planet and damn the rest of us.

De-climatization is beginning now. It is not stoppable. Estimates range from 30-70 years. I suspect it is going to be quite a bit sooner that we really feel the results. Lack of water is rapidly becoming a world wide crisis. Instability due to this, and soon to be food shortages will cause our social systems to fail.

I know this is very grim. Short of a technological(or spiritual) miracle, we are done. I hate to say this. I am 51 years old. I will likely see the end. My kids will not possibly escape seeing it.
The question now is how to live and prepare for a peaceful and loving end..........
peace to you folks

You don't have to tell me.

I'm 68 and I can remember when winters were much colder than they are now.

Being an inseparable part of the system we're always past the point of no return.
