Boras and Noon,

I generally find out more about what's going on than I really want to know. And without looking for it.

True enough, but I find myself somehow drawn to Limbaugh and Hannity on the radio when I'm in my car at lunch or on the way home from work (small doses of about 15 minutes each per day). Mostly, I think it's to understand how these miscreants are spinning the news and misleading the gullible masses. I find what they do totally shameful, even though I believe strongly in a free press (but these clowns aren't journalists ) Know thine enemy, as it were.

No, they're far from journalists, even by the pathetic standards of today. Limbaugh, Hannity, Beck and the lot are Fr. Caughlins at best, Radio Rwanda at worst. Beck has reached and then gone beyond the point where he should be banned from the public airwaves for incitement to violence and insurrection.

This is pretty much what I do. I usually find myself thinking of Lincolns comment about appealing "....to the better angels of our nature....", and the contrast of that and what these assholes are appealing to.

The amazing thing is that the irony in these shows is so rich that it simply goes straight past the audience. They rail about how angry the Left is, how the airwaves are brainwashing people, how only they tell the "truth," ....

I believe some of them have and that this is the reason why our economy refuses to fully recover.

Since the majority of business owners and brass are Republicans why do you think there is little or no hiring, at least not until after November. They will just keep working the arses off of existing staff.

OT has picked up everywhere, employers are not ready to commit to new employees as then they have the whole benefit deal and hiring costs.

I would love to talk to one of these buffoons at dinner to see how quick they are on their feet.
