I think this is what the OP wanted....
America's "decline" is presented as a racial or demographic change, and this and the impact of the information age, globalization, and our shift to a service economy is the foundation of this fear.
It is a dangerous perception because the GOP today sees it as being the truth, and that is not a good thing. Dondillon sees the world as a sort of zero-sum gain where every "win" by another country is a "loss" for us.
I see it as the evolution of the world economy; we were once a manufacturing and banking powerhouse. Now Mexico, China,India, etc are doing that. We are more becoming like Western Europe....we should embrace Democratic Western European economic vision to improve things here just like they did during the Marshall Plan.
