This was a amazingly good movie but hard to watch at times. It was based on a true story that happened in a German prison. Uwe Boll is an excellent director in a Quentin Tarantino kind of way. I have watched many Uwe Boll movies.

Prisoner Of The Mountains Directed by Sergei Bodrov and starring his son Sergei Bodrov Jr.

I reconnect with this movie.

The head of a village in Chechnya captures two Russian soldiers to exchange
for his son who is a prisoner of the Russians.

As the story unfolded I was really awed by the feeling of freshness of nature in the Caucasus mountains - I could sense the purity of the air - and the simplicity of living there.

A really good movie.

pretty good movie....

I hope you have read the great Russian books....I have completed Anna Karenina and War and Peace...after Marcel Proust it is going to be Dostoevsky.

Crime and Punishment, Anna Karenina many years ago but now I do not think I have the stamina for War and Peace. By the way my fav writer is
Solzhenitsyn.

I read just 10 pages a day.....it is easier that way.

I am just going to read fiction from now on.
