Here is some background for the "stupidest thing you ever read."

COPIED FROM AN EARLIER REPLY TO YOU, WHICH YOU IGNORED, THAT TOTALLY DEBUNKED YOUR 6% BS:
Reference below is to a article on the whole co-morbidity thing from John Hopkins. They discuss the excess death number. From March to September, about 200,000 more people have died in this country than would be expected in a normal year. If it's not COVID, what is it?

With Covid-19 cases fast on the rise, El Paso is running out of morgue space
At least 673 residents of the far west Texas community have died of coronavirus, up from 605 a week ago, as the pandemic continues to rage.

Just a small dose of reality for the idiot deniers.

No problem and your point was readily discernable. Thing is, it's exactly the type of response NI's covid swimming pool analogy was intended to elicit. Making it not "one of the stupidest thing I have ever read" as you previously posted. Just my opinion.

Ah so you are saying that he posted only to get a reaction. Huh. That's disappointing. Why would someone do that? Why waste the opportunity for engagement with something just to raise hackles. Life's too short.

I am heartened to see a high percentage of mask-wearing from younger people. That is a sign of that generation (or those generations) showing concern for the larger community. As I understand it, the primary drive for masking up is to prevent transmission from those infected, even if they are asymptomatic. It gives me hope that a group that faces lesser risk nevertheless shows civic responsibility.

I see the tide turning locally.
Just yesterday found out, two who were deniers last week are now believers. It took the virus infecting family members in the last few days to bring about the change.

With Covid raging mightily across the U.S. and in Repub governed states in particular the reality of the pandemic will hit those deniers the worst. The "I'm not worried because it doesn't affect me" crowd is getting smaller each day. I want to feel sorry for them but at the same time "we told you so" is all I can muster. As a PSA they ought to run that Bob Woodward tape of tRump saying how bad Covid is several times a day for a month.

In reversal, North Dakota's Repube governor issues mask mandate, other steps to slow virus
https://bismarcktribune.com/news/loc...2ac9ab1c9.html
Meanwhile, SCOTUS hard-Reich justice Alito goes full political, blasting mask mandates and many other perfectly normal things.

A telling account from a nurse in South Dakota. Sees lots of COVID patients that continue to deny the disease as they get sicker and sicker with it. Intubation shuts off the crazy talk, but nothing else. Incredible.
