The Game is rigged, and the Republicans rigged it'
http://theweek.com/article/index/270...cans-rigged-it
Elizabeth Warren is awesome.
Quote:
Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) pulled no punches Saturday at a campaign event for fellow Democratic Sen. Al Franken (Minn.), accusing Republicans of having "rigged" the system against average Americans.
"The game is rigged, and the Republicans rigged it," she said.
Warren, one of the most progressive members of the Senate, has been stumping for several candidates ahead of next month's elections. Over the weekend, she also lent her support in two crucial states, promoting Sen. Mark Udall (Colo.) and Iowa Rep. Bruce Braley, who is running to fill a vacant Senate seat.
Warren's "rigged" remark is not a change of tone for the freshman lawmaker. She has on several occasions said the economy is "rigged" against the middle class in favor of the rich and powerful, and that message was the crux of her 2012 campaign.

What I like about her is that she doesn't buy into the "Both parties are equally to blame" Bullshit that right wingers like Pete (and even some others that are supposedly on the left) are trying to sell.

Both parties are to blame. Both conservatives and liberal are to blame. (Particularly in areas like real health care reform.)
That said, the right and the GOP are way, way more to blame.

When the blame is as lopsided as it is on the GOP's side it's absolute bullshit to make a statement such as "Both parties are to blame", which implies that the blame is somewhat equal. Nothing could be farther from the truth.

Though Republican obstructionism and Tea Party craziness certainly share the lion's share of the blame, Democratic fecklessness comes in a close second.

I saw it. The issue for me is the Democrats' inability to capitalize on the idiocy and delusion exhibited by the GOP on a daily basis. The GOP is wildly successful at creating a load of red-herring issues, while the Democrats are singularly incapable of showing themselves to be anything other than ineffectual.
