Why Won’t Rich Republicans Loan Money to Upstanding Businessman Donald Trump? My theory is that Trump is, in fact, a crook.

...while those wealthy Republicans are happy to vote for Trump again, their calculation is that he will get into office and enact a tax cut that will make them richer. If doing so requires them to loan money to a crook who lies about everything, including his finances, that changes the proposition. They would absorb the risk that there are other fraudulent evaluations in Trump’s portfolio, and that Trump might stiff them as he has previous lenders. In short, this would mean supporting Trump would probably lose them money, which is the opposite of their intent.

Of course, if I am wrong about all this, then Ken Langone or Elon Musk or Jeff Yass or some other Republican moneybags will soon step forward to loan Trump money in full confidence they can expect repayment.

But I don’t think I am wrong.

My guess is Trump will appeal to the "Nat C" rural voters for smaller campaign contributions, and another horde uprising.

People don't learn quickly, although they seem to more aware that they can be manipulated, duped, and face legal consequences for their own actions.

Meh. I'd take Jimmy Fallon over Jimmy Kimmel any day, as far as being funny and entertaining.

Of course, I consider myself to be quite the comedian as well.

Colbert is better than either of them. It is funny, however, how Kimmel has gotten into Trump and Pillow Guy's heads.

That's true. Colbert skewers Donny on the regular but Donny stays focused on Kimmel.

I believe "isn't it past your jail time" comment really hit home, the one thing DJT is desperate to avoid. And this was during the Oscars which draws a huge worldwide audience.

Kimmels's humor is more direct and easier to understand for the Lying Dotard.
