Well he did not win the first time, he was appointed by the Supremes. And there were plenty of irregularities in FL and OH.

But he did it in a more gracious manner than did Kennedy who's dad had paper bags filled with cash delivered to Southern Voting officials.

"Mayor Richard J. Daley held back much of Chicago's vote until the late morning hours of November 9. The efforts of Daley and the powerful Chicago Democratic organization gave Kennedy an extraordinary Cook County victory margin of 450,000 votes --- more than 10% of Chicago's 1960 population of 3.55 million -- thus (barely) overcoming the heavy Republican vote in the rest of Illinois."

Looks like things are heating up over there. I feel for those people trying to grasp at any bits of freedom and justice that they can. IMO though, this is something that they need to do by themselves. They will be in my prayers.

I think that's right; don't know what the situation is in the US but in the UK, general consensus is we've got too much other stuff on our plate just now; we can bark but not bite. The Israelis can though, and that's a worry. If Dinnerjacket steals the election then proceeds with Iran's nuclear ambitions, how long do you reckon it will be before the Israelis take a swipe at them?

"Neda" is the new face of the Iranian opposition martyrdom; we could be seeing the beginning of a Second Revolution in Iran. The bizarre irony is that John McCain has hailed her martyrdom on the floor of the US Senate, yet he was the one who quipped that the USA should "...bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb Iran..."
A two-faced political opportunist at his best, Mr. McCain is.
