Just finished reading the article.
As was pointed out in the article, it was directed at people not only far younger than myself, but with interests far different than mine.
Although taken from a perspective different than mine, it was a good article which analyzed the situation and managed to come to it's conclusion without being judgmental. Hopefully the younger generation will be able to appreciate what happens once you start down a path such as this.
And while this family is the exception rather than the rule, I find it troubling that they were unable to assimilate even in Cambridge. Which, for an immigrant, and a Muslim immigrant to boot, is the best America has to offer.
I suppose the world is filled with unrealistic people, who are unable to accept that it isn't going to change just to meet their perceived notions of how things should be. And the more radical one becomes, the further one moves from the mores of society.
