Currently re-reading one of my favorite authors for about the 112th time since I first learned to read........
Poe.
At present, it's; "The Collected Tales and Poems of Edgar Allen Poe".
"When a madman appears thoroughly sane, indeed, it is high-time to put him in a straight-jacket."
"Fact---it all came to pass by means of a stupid fellow---a lunatic---who, by some means, had taken it into his head that he had invented a better system of government than any had heard of before---of lunatic government, I mean. He wished to give his invention a trial, I suppose, and so persuaded the patients to join him in a conspiracy for the overthrow of the reigning powers."
(Edgar Allan Poe, from 'The System of Dr. Tarr and Professor Fether.')
This sounds eerily familiar to me. Like a presidential debate I watched recently.........
