Collectively implies that all involved in the decision (including Lee) were involved, exactly as ESPN later fully explained. I guess you figure that this somehow mitigates or excuses Trump's Charlottesville disaster. In fact, it's much ado about nothing, other than it gives Trump apologists a very thin thread of hope that they can change the subject from Trump's NeoNazi sympathies to ESPN's silliness (or compassion for their employee).

America gave up on rational thought back in the 60s according to the latest Atlantic - I tend to agree.

It's interesting that this quote appears on their website:

Mission Goals

"A generation which ignores history has no past and no future" – Robert Heinlein

Again, collectively or singularly, is irrelevant (even though ESPN wants it in the forefront to paper over an idiotic display of PCism run amock). It's amazing that someone inside ESPN thought that there was a decision to be made here. Though you may want to defend it as much ado about nothing, it was apparently substantive enough for WaPo to push out an op-ed blaming Trump for it, and of course you lap it right up. As if PC has only been around since Nov 2016.

Very true. Now, exactly what does the confederacy have to do with WWII airplanes? You seem incapable of understanding the most basic things...

Do you actually care about this? I don't. A low-level sports broadcaster on a low profile game (UVa v William&Mary) gets reassigned. BFD.
