I concur, Ed. I don't even believe that America was what some of us think it was, then. There are indicators of what the Founders were really like, contrary to wingnut beliefs.

Starting with the most glaring of them all, the fact that they basically restricted voting rights to wealthy, white males........Themselves basically.

Then there is Washingtons response to the Whiskey Rebellion.

It seems that when those guys raised a tax, you paid it or they came to collect with soldiers.

But, you can't tell a guy like Boris any of this. He has been forewarned of your "Commie" tricks..........Most likely by rich White men who are envious of the way the Founders had it going on back then.......

I prefer living in the present to trying to conform to some historical ideal irrelevant to the circumstances. There are those who would like to go backward to when things were good for their like, stop time, and screw everyone else.
