I have a 180gram Lp of SRV and Albert King Live around here somewhere. It kicks ass. Think I'll have to find it, now......

Taxman for my neocon buddies!

Don't ask me what I want it for
If you don't want to pay some more
My advice for those who die
Declare the pennies on your eyes
'Cause I'm the taxman
Yes I'm the taxman

100 pages! Nice to have a warm fuzzy place too retreat to in the midst of it all.
Then again it's probably just my meds making me so much less of an a**hole.

Not listening, setting up to record. Those 10.5 inch reels are a beatch to load with arthritic hands.

A lot of bass clarinet on this album. If I recall, Dolphy was the first player to use it as a jazz instrument.

I like his flute as well.

Hot Tuna~Hot Tuna
Death don't have no mercy in this land

Man I really like Jorma Kaukonen and Jack Cassidy
Cassidy played bass on a few tracks of Electric Ladyland for Hendrix
Hands down my favorite bass player of all time.

That includes ol' Felix Papalardi, hmmm-maybe it's time to break out Flowers of Evil by Mountain and flex those JBL's woofers. That was the second rock concert that I attended way back in 1969-70ish at Merriweather Post Pavillion in Columbia, Md. Interesting version of Roll Over Beethoven on that album..

Interesting on the bass players for you. I've found the Brits really are the bees knees when it comes to the low end.

Squire
Bruce
Butler
.......

and for a bit newer

Peter Hook.........

Motown~Hitsville disc 2. My Girl, Track of my Tears and on and on...
Certain music really imprints on you. I was born near Watts LA and believe me this was what was played by most everyone in the early 60's even the Beatles took a bit longer to penetrate there compared to the rest of the country, except my older sister of course. She was the epitome of a rabid Beatles fan.

Junior Walker and The Allstars
Martha Reeves and The Vandellas
Smokey
The Temps
The Four Tops
Stevie
Yeah I'm about seven years old when I hear this stuff imagine a lil blond punk kid dancing the Stroll or the Jerk not to mention the Boogaloo. My big sis made me dance, who was I to argue? Sure miss her....post number 1000's for you Sandy.
