Al Green Greatest Hits
The Spinners Greatest Hits......I got it for The Rubberband Man which was huge in Cleveland

only a buck each
I cannot believe I have a thrift store across the street from my work space
that retired General's Mcintosh is bound to make an appearance one day.

I stopped by the thrift today, and looked at the vinyl. Just the usual suspects: Barry Manilo, Kenny Rogers, Tennessee Ernie Ford, Lawrence Welk and Babs.

Have you ever noticed that Bob Dylan and Zappa lps rarely are found in thrifts?
Perhaps in the 2030s they will start to show up with the frequency that Mitch Miller does now.

sorry what a sad thought!

I've never seen a Beach Boy's LP. Beatles rarely, Beach Boy's never.

I got a pretty good copy of "endless summer" at the thrift. I used to have good luck at garage sales, but they have been really dry for LPs or CDs lately. My best score was an estate sale for a record store owner. They had tens of thousands at $1 per. I was pretty broke at the time but managed to pick up over a hundred.

Regards,

D-Ray

Uh.... I've been pretty broke before, and I can tell you with certainty that if you were able to spend over $100 on albums, you were not anywhere in the vicinity of broke.

Really? Listen up everybody...forget your concept of broke. The only evaluation of broke we can trust is from the man from Wasilla.

Uh...maybe some of us can have your permission to have a passion that trumps however broke we might be?

Permission denied. If you are broke enough, the only passion you will have is food.
