The ol' false equivalency dodge.
There really were Nazis in history, you know, and they really did incredible harm before we got rid of them. While false analogies to do partisan bashing suck, real analogies serve to warn us that what happened before can happen again.

 Outside of the W.A.R. type folks there is very little Nazi-ish stuff going on. Any propaganda of any sort can be compared to the stuff Hitler or Lenin did. Pete

The analogy is not to Brownshirt thugs on the street. Nothing quite that literal is going on, and least not yet.
The analogy is to the criminal lack of any ethical political restraint, in the use of risky extortion tactics that defy the Constitutional order. One the evidence of what they were willing to do already (defund Obamacare or we'll let the country have it!) what wouldn't they do? Is there any doubt that they couldn't justify 'gun down Obama and take over in a coup' in their own minds, if they saw a way to do it?
