That was a measured and thoughtful response. The high road is always the prefered path, less mud for one thing. I'm very impressed with our President. He looks like he's been up all night and then some.

Politifact has not issued a rating of Romney's comments, but the experts it consulted are quite clear that the statement from the embassy was not an apology, but a condemnation of bigotry - issued before there was a breach of either embassy.

What a petty clusterscrew on the part of Americans. We are talking about Twitter twats and Facebook fallacies as if the perpetrators paid any attention to such ridiculous metrics.

I can't believe the Twitter twats stooped so low as to mention 9/11.

If Muslim/Christian relations are the issue and 9/11 is the anniversary of anything important, then Americans need to wake up and realize that 9/11 was an inside job. Muslim commoners are pissed off for us associating them with our false flag event.

I can't figure out why the statement was even made. Given the environment, there was no chance that that statement would ameliorate the tension, and, I'd argue, that the statement would actually increase tension by drawing formal attention to the purported cause of the tension.

One could also argue that the Prez's statement was evidence that the administration bought into the initial fiction of "riot being about the film".

Clear evidence that Obama's first inclination, faced with terror, is to appease and apologize.

What are you talking about now mezz? Maybe you should ask Ben Laden if he's doing better now than he was four years ago? Now, that's my kind of appeasement! You are dumber than a box of hammers messy.

He didn't apologize. Since he didn't apologize, there is no 'clear evidence' to indicate that.

Oh shut the fuck up, the statement was issued by the embassy, due to the time difference Washington was still asleep. It get's more than a little embarassing to be here in this racist environment.
