Fixin' to go throw a baseball around. If you've seen how wild I throw, I really mean throwing it around.

Thank you all for sharing your sunny days with me! Raining here and I've been showered with bad news from my family ... I so needed some sunshine today! Thanks!

Damn!! I am SO out of shape. It was a glorious ride. There is a paved bike/running trail that starts about a mile from my house and takes me all the way around lake Zorinski, 23.2 miles round trip. The lake has finally filled back up after being drained the last two years to deal with an invasive zebra mussel problem.
Dave, my bike is a Trek Pilot 5.2 OCLV. I bought it back in '06, my first carbon fiber bike after riding aluminium most of my life. It's very fast and extremely light. The geometry allows for a more upright riding position which helps with my bad back, I can ride much longer and still be able to stand up when I'm done.

avg. speed 17.2 mph
top speed 28 mph
avg. heart rate 146
1:20.00
Not bad for the first ride of the season. My legs are finally starting to feel solid again, they were a little jello-y after I was done.

Not bad at all. IIRC my last ride was ~40 miles at 2:03. My doctor advised me to "Take a break.". My elbows, shoulders, back and knees were bothering me something terrible. That was 9 years and 70lbs ago. I need to get back on. Break is looooooong over.

I do have a Giant Cypress, that I use for running local errands and casual riding, though.

Hope you had a nice ride. How's the air quality in Omaha?
What's that speaker? A Maggie?
