+1, Everytime that I've poked that sacred cow, all I've heard was nothing but silence and crickets chirping.
Veto power is over rated and fairly impotent in this day and age.
The crux of the problem resides in the House and the Senate and the members obsession with feathering their own nests to the exclusion doing their jobs.
Who's at fault? The slothful electorate for allowing it to continue, unabated. We would have a single payer HC system tomorrow if us slobs would just speak up.
Bread and circus is what we have settled for. Shame on us for accepting it.
