At first my thoughts are you just trying to have some fun. Because one would have to have lived in complete darkness for the last few years not to have ever heard of him. But then maybe you have but I think not.

So this is just your sense of humor and is distasteful to me. That making this kind of statement of another for what ever reason is somehow OK. Must remember this important fact, no choice was given to you at birth of the life ahead. It is what you do with the life given. All cultures should be embraced not looked down upon due to ignorance. After all this land is a melting pot of the worlds people.

So any feelings of superiority you might be having is all in your head. If you were to be in a darken room, everyone would be taken on actions and deeds alone. Sorts like the internet, you don't really know what another looks like just make a judgment on what they say. So do you really want others who read this to think of you this way. Because I would like to still believe you are not that judgmental.

By the way I'm in the camp that GB would of been a cheer leader for Hitler if born in a earlier time. But then again he will spew anything in hopes of getting noticed. The more over the top the better it seems for him.

I've never seen his show.

Time to watch Grand Torino again. Maybe Glory too.

Let me announce my intention to use racist words:

Niggardly honkeys.

OK, help me understand. You have expressed a desire to use a particular word. You most certainly have a right to do so. In the context of your post, it is clear that the word had been used by a broadcaster in a manner that was racially offensive - it had resulted in someone losing his job. In your post, you emphasized the impact of the word by capitalizing it. Is the purpose of doing that a sort of declaration of independence? Does it carry some other message that I do not fathom? Help me understand the importance of the word to you.

Regards,

D-Ray

It's all so sensitive. Sometimes I wonder if we're all too nice. FWIW, down in the firmly integrated areas they use offensive words all the time. I guess one just needs street cred.

That's all right, Pete. You don't have to worry.

For Lent, I'm trying to avoid insulting people. (Just started this morning). But I know I can make an exception for you, Pete, because, by insulting you, I am actually complementing your ability to take a joke. Now, try to find someone other than a lawyer who would write a sentence like that one.

Regards,

D-Ray

LMAO! Yous are killing me today. Best lawyer-line EVER!

By der vay, I sure as hell don't have enough 'cred' to, say, quote Jackie Chan talking to bartenders. At least to strangers. Unless I enjoy being beaten and shot.

I'm not sure that I will, but I think my sons might sometime live in post-racial America. Race relations are a matter that should be discussed, but sometimes it is difficult to get past the talking points. I'm not even sure what I mean by a post-racial America. I don't think any of us want a homogenous society. But sometimes it's hard to draw the line between celebrating diversity and denigrating differences. I wish I had more answers.

Regards,

D-Ray

I don't know either. It's obvious that (most) kids 'see' race differently than we (old timers?) do.

And we know race, or at least culture, makes a difference. The Asians and their faulty armour have a higher overall IQ than us pinkish pale people do.

I also see a good natured rivally down in the financially challenged areas. I'm uncertain that it's bad. It seems like a comradre thing.

Btw, I have a hard time believing you go around insulting people all the time. It's a great Lent issue. Wearing purple?

I plant most of my insults here. But reason shall prevail!
