Question How many of you have diversified in Gold and Silver or Platinum ?

With the "experts" calling for a 30% increase in Gold this year, how many here have diversified their holdings into Platinum, Gold or Silver ?

Bill

How many of us can afford to diversify into Platinum, Gold or Silver? I don't know about the other two but gold is subject to high variations in its market value. If the 30% increase predicted over 10 months is realistic and you know what you're doing and importantly, keep it accessible for sale at short notice you might get a decent profit (if you describe that kind of greed as decent) but the moment anyone sells in large volume, it's likely others will also try to sell.

Market value drops fast and again if you get the timing right, you buy cheap and the whole rotten cycle starts again. Business as usual. Make lots of money while producing fuck all.

I've diversified my holdings into vinyl, cassette, and CD. I also have a portfolio of various solid state receivers - 70's vintage - as well as a few turntables, cassette decks and CD players. Probably over-invested in speakers. Have just a few blue chips - Nakamichi; Acoustic Research & Infinity.

Regards,

D-Ray

There is your problem! You need blue meters!

I just cracked a crown and had it replaced. Along with an old gold crown that was removed years ago, I got $50 for both old crowns from a place that buys gold.

As for precious metals in my portfolio, some of my mutual funds may have it. Who knows?

Mr. finnbow,

You should have held on to those crowns, they may be worth a lot more by years end.

Problem with investing in gold, platinum or silver is unless you actually physically have it in your hands then you have nothing.
