I'm not sure they use newfangled things like light bulbs. I think they still use whale oil lamps and candles.

From what I've read it does not sound likely that the Tea Party could win an election, but could they have any leverage?
Back to the topic, a button would be too easy to press. Depression can't kill directly but it can take away the will to live. I wonder how many potential suicides have been put off by the difficulty of finding a fast painless way out.

If it's one of those socialist curly-cue ObamaNazi bulbs the totalitarian federal government tries to shove down their throats, they'll refuse to use it on the grounds that they will only use the same kind of incandescents the founders used! If a tungsten filament is good enough for George Washington, it's good enough for all True Patriots!!!

Here in Ohio, the evil utilities in cohoots with the evil Republicans we going to force us to buy the bulbs AND raise rates because the utilities were going to lose sales on the electric side.
Comb, they have influence - they are organized and motivated.

Bush shoved those "socialist curly-cue ObamaNazi bulbs" down our throats.
If he had the nuts that Prez Obama has, he would never have signed those things into law.
Having said that, I use them and like them. We need to take the stress off the grid out here in the west and every little bit helps.

When we first installed them, I noticed our electric bill going down around $10/month, and then I got interested in audio. Oops.
