Chances are that your previous supplier will drop their prices to match. They might even go lower in the hope that they'll bring customers in from your new supplier. You could end up playing leap-frog

Maybe just until someone wakes up and realizes that power generation does not belong in the greedy hands of private industry. One of the things I miss besides single payer were the low electric rates and the attendant high reliability.

Maybe competition is starting to work, our current provider just dropped their rate to $0.095, a whole cent.
