Those were the daze, my friend. IIRC Heather from AK was at that concert. Fun times.
Coda - in '77 or '78 I saw the Wild West Show at some flea bitten dinner theater in Camp Springs, Md. Leslie West was a dozen feet away in a largely empty former country and western joint in southern Maryland while I ate a burnt T-Bone washed down with a watery tequila sunrise.

Fuck.

The local music scene was really pretty damned good back then. Believe it or not, The Nighthawks still play around town.

Free Hot Tuna concerts at American University, Little Feat at Lisner and the Emergency, Oom Pah-pah at Blob's Park and Wolf Trap. Not to mention all the free 'Concerts In The Park' funded by the Park Service to keep the hippies off the streets.

Is the Cellar Door still open?

The Cellar Door closed while I was in Germany, in 1982. The owners (who also owned The Bayou and The Crazy Horse) then started Cellar Door Productions, one of the biggest concert promoters on the East Coast and then sold it in 1999. Lots of great shows there.

Sad to read. People are still having serious issues from C-19 everyday.

Don't know why I'm not more surprised with the revisionist narrative seemingly now being put forth. That C-19 was not that bad, never was a serious issue. Hearing this being out out and believed now more and more.

How soon people forget things.

The rewriting of history is happening right under our eyes.
