Yes it would. But we are left exposed, first to asymptotic transmission, which hopefully is rare like you say, and then to symptotic transmission, until you notice them enough that it breaks through your initial denial, and then you get to a health care provider, qualify for a test, get one, and get the results. Seems to me that everyone is a lot safer if you just wear a mask. Much less opportunity for failure.

Yes, it is a “human life”, but there are stages to human life. A zygote is “human life”, but it is a very basic cell. Should it be “protected, and if so, why? The point being that “human life” goes through stages and that’s why simply using the term means basically nothing.
The key is to keep abortion SAFE through being LEGAL and attempt to keep it at a minimum level through education about and access to the various birth control methods. And no one does that better than Planned Parenthood. That’s why it’s crazy that right-wingers spend so much time trying to defund it. The counseling about and access of birth control, especially of women at the lower economic levels, prevents way more abortions than does all the constant whining of the right-wingers about it.

If you cut slits in it, you might as well trash-can it. Masks are meant to keep YOU from spreading the virus if you have it by keeping the projectiles from your mouth contained if you cough or sneeze and thereby protect others.

So I assume you would say the same thing about any person you saw walking around with a respirator type mask that has the proper "exhale" vent that doesn't filter on exhale.

Cutting slits in a mask isn't the same as a oneway vent. That is an ignorant opinion.

How on earth is not the same? Oh wait I know how, the slits allow "contaminated" air in and out while the vent only allows "contaminated" air out. Get it?
