I don't get it. Does the GQP think the American people will just roll over and accept minority rule? If they obtained the autocracy they dream of how do they think intend to keep it? Nationwide martial law? Troops in the streets?

American people may not necessarily roll over but they are powerless. With 27 to 30 states with GQP monopoly will assure them control of the Senate in perpetuity and this is where the real power lies, judicial appointments. This monopoly could also extend to the House, but with all urban areas turning Democratic, Gerrymandering may do the trick. And the US Constitution as good as a document it is, its also impossible.

Take a look around. Voter suppression is taking place under our very noses and we are powerless to do anything about it, yet we go around pretending that we are a bastion of democracy.
