Unfortunately we have too nice a guy at the top, US House overflowing with crazies and an ineffective Pelosi, and two very selfish worms in the Senate who may/will switch parties if cornered. I am very pessimistic that the best Dems will do is hand wringing and the real risk is that there are people like me no longer sending money to Act Blue. How can so many House and Senate races be lost with exorbitant amounts of money in the midst of Trump's disastrous administration and a mishandled pandemic. Piss Poor Messaging and ineffective leadership in the party; Pelosi, Feinstein, Schumer........list is endless.

I agree, Joe is coming across as too much of a nice guy and the GQP is seeing that as weakness. Single party rule (their party) is what they're going for. Those driving the GQP now are in it to win it and if they defend and support an insurrection and fighting dirty is how they're playing things they need to be handled as such.
