Maggie Haberman Is Right

https://www.nationalreview.com/2021/...rman-is-right/

The good old, far-reich National Review, calling a NYT reporter correct in her reporting? Yup.

Quote:
Two days ago, the New York Times’s Maggie Haberman reported that Donald Trump “has been telling a number of people he’s in contact with that he expects he will get reinstated by August.” In response, many figures on the right inserted their fingers into their ears and started screaming about fake news.

Instead, they should have listened — because Haberman’s reporting was correct. I can attest, from speaking to an array of different sources, that Donald Trump does indeed believe quite genuinely that he — along with former senators David Perdue and Martha McSally — will be “reinstated” to office this summer after “audits” of the 2020 elections in Arizona, Georgia, and a handful of other states have been completed. I can attest, too, that Trump is trying hard to recruit journalists, politicians, and other influential figures to promulgate this belief — not as a fundraising tool or an infantile bit of trolling or a trial balloon, but as a fact.
Donny is a f'ing loon.

^^ This is for real, beyond loony seems to be fixated and that is all he wants to talk about. two zombies from OANN, Christina Bobb and Chanel Rion are actively promoting this fraud and raising money. Their latest gambit is to invite politicians from other states to 'audit' the AZ vote counting process and entice them to do the same in their own home states. This can indeed get very dangerous and will incite people to rebel, which seems to be intent while also helping pass voter suppression laws.

If Agent 45 is a loon he's a terrified loon. Any criminal or civil prosecution will be billed as a Democrat plot to thwart his "ascension". He's already saying that "something" must be done before 2022. He's already incited violence (Jan 6 ) and the Repubs in congress are trying with all their might to rewrite the history of that. Knowing that the party won't hold him accountable what's to stop him from trying another uprising? You already have Reich-Wingers who view it as their mission to "save America" (for themselves that is) and don't think violence to achieve their desires is out of the question.
"The Orange Menace" knows that as long as he commands attention he will keep supporters. As long as he keeps supporters he's got the GQP by the nuts and he knows it. All during his occupation of the presidency the Dotard continually did one thing. When something comes along that looks bad for him he deflects attention with some other shiny object. Likely upcoming prosecutions versus the shiny object of his upcoming reinstatement to office. Which do you think his cult will gravitate to?

I think the biggest problem is that there are people who actually believe what ever Trump says.

75% of the Republicans, they either believe or want to believe, same difference and which is perhaps why FB banned him for two years today. He is already crowing and I can hear the Faux echo chamber screaming censorship, First Amendment, Cancel Culture..................

Too many Repubs don't care to know the truth.

Dems on the other hand agonize over every possible incorrectness in their beliefs. That may be a charming trait in voters, but in elected officials it's a trait that precludes getting legislation passed.

I've decided there are three possibilities regarding Trump believers...

1. They believe because they're intellectually impaired.
2. They believe because they have a mental health condition.
3. They don't actually believe but they don't care because they think there's something in it for them, and they're sociopaths which I suppose is a mental health condition but you know what I mean.

Democratic politicians are vote whores just like the Republicans, but they live in geographic locations where they can pretty much support better stuff, if not always the right right stuff, and still be pretty sure of getting themselves re-elected.
