A factoid......

Unemployment does not kick in right away. I was laid off on February 16, according to NY state, I will not receive benefits until March 10.

Soc Sec works the same way, like pay periods at work too. You get paid for a period at the end of the period.

We only have a two week waiting period in Missouri. Must be the fault of all of those damn Republican's we have around here.

I think it is pretty much the same the world over, kind of like the normal salary, you only get it after the fact.

iirc it was a couple of weeks here in Michigan. Least till they run out of money. Wait they did.

I think they're all broke. And they're fixing to raise my unemployment rates since I'm still in business. That's gonna help jump start the economy.

Like I've said before, if you have anything, they're coming for it. Can't get blood out of a turnip.
