Fullerton PD beat and tazer a mentaly ill homeless man to death

Now they are being charged with second degree murder. The video was actually taken by a manned police surveillance camera. The video link is in the article. It was a brutal beating.

The police routinely physically assault whoever they want for petty crimes then charge the person with resisting arrest.

There is no way for the victim of such a police attack to gain justice after, instead they have a felony charge.

A lot of people become cops for the wrong reasons.

While I get -- and am not offended by -- your observation, there is also a significant contingent of individuals who wind up tazed and beaten because they just won't stop resisting.

Rodney King?

Rodney King was on PCP, felt no pain, is a large man, and kept trying to get up. Training is to continue submission techniques until 100% of resistance is gone. If you keep resisting, progressive discipline keeps happening.

Matter in this case? I have no idea.

But it could just be a horrid combination of events where a mentally ill person and training response reaped the whirlwind.

Fullerton is in Orange County and, like the county, has significantly more registered Republicans than Democrats. But I guess you don't want facts to get in the way of a good story.
