CA is a paradise dyed in blue, but an expensive one especially the Bay Area.
As part of my retirement planning, Reno works better for us financially.
If I win the lottery, we will move back to CA in a week with out even bothering to pack.

It must be a paradise because otherwise the Reich-wingers wouldn't have painted it in such a bad light.

311,000 New jobs in February. Maybe conservatives should stop betting against America and its president?

The news about 311,000 new jobs (pre-adjustment) is good news for anyone whose name is not Jerome Powell.

February’s net job gains surpassed economists’ estimates for a more modest month, with only 205,000 to be added. Separately, downward revisions to December’s and January’s totals weren’t that drastic.

While Friday’s report is a strong one, that’s actually bad news in the broader context of the Federal Reserve’s campaign to curb high inflation, said PNC Financial Services chief economist Gus Faucher.

“It’s much hotter than the economy can run, and so this means the Fed is going to have to continue to hike interest rates,” he told CNN. “And that makes a recession more likely.”

The US is running a gigantic ponsi scheme and things are coming to a bump. People who have serious figures in many banks want to avail themselves of the five percent that the government is now offering. (They are no longer satisfied with two percent). This in itself is initiating a run on banks. The people just want to move to five percent.

Now how did this situation develop? Successive Quantitative Easings and massive money printing led to
stubborn inflation which the Fed had to address after pussyfooting for some time. However the usual tool to counter inflation is raising interest rate...a problem itself especially with massive debts on all fronts - government and private.

Expect unusual withdrawals from small and regional banks and a growing loss of confidence in the financials.

Wow! A quick move to contain panic...guaranteeing everybody by abandoning the $250,000 limit.

You've never met an obtuse, bad faith or false equivalence argument that you didn't like Michael. You must've had a wretched childhood is all I can assume.
