I'd say so. The Clinton impeachment was a bad time, but never really threatened to succeed.

Here are some good examples of what the Teapublican shutdown has accomplished.

The GOP and Tea Party are just digging their graves deeper. Hopefully, they won't take the nation with them.

Mike Lee of Utah was certainly stupid by following Cruz

Seems like the United States Government is a very large employer there.
Put you own constituency out of work.

What the hell is going on?

Odd that the Red States receive more in Federal moneys but elect people who hate government.

From;

"The Party is Over; How the Democrats became Useless and the Republicans Lost their Minds"---Mike Lofgren

In this book, there is a list of "Tea Party Terms and Their Definitions" My favorite is this;

"True Patriot; Someone who loves America, but hates the people who live there."

Ha! A variation on 'I love mankind, it's people I can't stand.'

Either way, it's basically a problem with abstractions. It's just a mistake to 'love' big abstract ideas--'mankind,' 'America,' etc.

Now loving the Cardinals is OK, but it's a mistake to love the Chicago Cubs....

Ice, has is ever occurred to you that maybe just maybe we are against welfare corruption? Mostly
just the inner cities and a few isolated counties vote blue.

Are you hereby implying that everybody but 'Baggers actually like welfare corruption?
