Hell I just got done rebuilding a transmission that failed because of a poorly designed electronic valve body. While I was in there I done some drilling and sleeving and installed Sonnex updates to fix the problem that causes this model to fail in the first place. Something the engineers shoulda done before sending them into mass production.

So yeah, we both had a bitchy day.

I just got done rebuilding the valve body in my 04 Dakota last weekend. Didn't fix the problem, so either my speed sensors are buggy or my OD clutches are slipping.

Hmmmmmm..................I dunno.

What tranny does that have? Mine has never been a problem. Nor has the engine, but then it is the tried and true 318.

V6 with a 42RLE tranny. First problem I've had with it, but I'm only at 114K.

I did just replace tie rod ends this morning and plan to do the lower ball joints this weekend. (And get it aligned after that, of course.)

It's also time to replace the fog lamps, which are.....ummm....fogged up.

It did bring about the feature of the shift lock released by brake pedal feature.

I used to own a 1971 100 way back late 70's, early 80's. Amazing comfort, looked great and handled even better. They stuck a junky trouble prone Stromberg carburetor on them for US emission standards unfortunately.

This is my third used Honda.
A used Honda with under 70,000 miles is about 50 percent cheaper than a new one and will last for years. A no brainer. The one at 254,000 is a 2002 CRV.
