Quite the contrary - Obama has been a very business/Wall St. friendly President.
I am interested in the Russian economy.

So you agree that we managed to replace Bush with a moderate republican?

It is hard to put a tag on him - political definitions are changing daily (depending on who/what you read and/or ascribe to).
The President gets the credit when it is working and the blame when it does not.
I have not delved in to it deep enough to see whether his administration adopted a mostly hands off policy and let the Federal Reserve and Wall St. do their thing or was more active.
Prob. a comb. of both, as is usually the case - regardless, the #s are up and he can take credit.

You are certainly free to complain to the management - until then, deal with it.

Not for me.
He's Republican Lite.
Just like Clinton was.
So was Carter.
We haven't had a real Democrat as President since LBJ.
And that was only on domestic policy.
On foreign policy he was a Republican War Monger, which turned out to be his downfall.

Perhaps, but Americans don't want a President further to the left than Clinton or Obama, nor further to the right than a GOP establishment type.

How do you know? The last Democratic candidate that matched your description was FDR. He did pretty well.

You just made my case in that FDR was first elected in 1936, nearly 80 years ago. Thanks.
I'd say 25-30% of both parties, representing 12-15% respectively of the entire electorate, believe that the country wants somebody as liberal/conservative as they are. The folks in the middle (i.e., those who decide elections) believe otherwise. It was these people in the middle that Bill Clinton tried to appeal to (successfully, might I add) with the formation of the (moderate) Democratic Leadership Council.
