Yeah, but that's your money. You and I cover their tax burden at the pump. Then congress sends them subsidies. Then oil executives retire with half billion dollar retirement packages.

Must be nice.

You've got that right! There are no "corporate taxes". It all gets passed along to the consumer. Buzz words intended to divide and confuse.

Taxes aren't formulated into business expenses?

I'd guess so....

I'd also guess if you were a huge business more time may be spent formulating on how to get out of paying them......

How about the true costs of pollution being figured into big oil's business model instead of leaving the taxpayers holding the bag always? Why the hell do they deserve all of the corporate welfare of subsidies and meanwhile we cut programs to the neediest amongst us?

Because they have the money. Those with money make the rules! It is a smart man who uses others money to make his. Not saying it is wrong just the way of the capitalist world.

Once again I find myself pondering unfunded liabilities and how that relates to being unable to fund massive the R&D needed to leave oil behind, and how it relates to a capitalist market.

Btw Barney, I kinda agree, we've already proven how well we can mine heavy metals and scatter them across the surface, and managed to thoroughly pollute the massive amounts of seawater, apparently we'll do the same thing to groundwater.

Although to cheer things up, it don't matter how clean we are in the long run, I believe we've already passed population limits for sustainability. Yay.

Wow!

How convenient! And the population claim is not even true.

Check: Russia, Canada, South America, Australia, Africa.
