Been on a bit of a buying spree getting CDs of albums that I have in vinyl, as well as some new ones:

I don't even bother with those arguments any more but I'll bet you this. Vinyl will still be being played when the last CD hits the landfill.

So, we'll see. I still think I'm right. CD sales are continuing to drop while vinyl sales are on the rise. The mass market will be Hi-Res downloads, CDs will disappear and "audiophiles" and collectors will play vinyl.

I think there will always be demand for CDs as "vinyl lite". Tangible, yet convenient.

The Mosaic jazz collections are very expensive...that Shearing collection has been getting those prices for a long time now. Even at $100 that is still pretty expensive for some cds.
The quality control on new vinyl is atrocious by the way.
Those Mosaic box sets have yet to make an appearance at any places I go to.
