I've got a set of those TV dinner tables, must be 30 odd years old now. Just a little spit and wood glue now and then and they're as good as new. (grin)
My daughter was using it for eating in the living room she will probably want it back when she returns home on Wednesday from her trip to England.
I have had the table for almost two years but the tone arm was shot.
I bought a refurbished tonearm assembly from a guy in the Bay area who brings back old decks from the dead it was $300. At least my table works now it does not have that skipping problem like before.

Be just a guess on my part.

Not the first one of the day or last.

That table sturdy enough for the SL?

Probably not but it sounds ok.
Do you know a lot about these turntables?
Either a DJ warped the rubber base or I can't slide it on correctly. On the sides the rubber base won't align with the silver plinth completely. So two of the big corner screws won't thread.

Been so long since having one apart. Years ago now.

It's ok.
This turntable sounds so much better than any other ones I have had.
Sort of approaches a reel to reel deck playing 7.5 isp tapes.

It does have a Grado mounted which works great on DD tables. Do you know what stylus is on the cart?

I can't tell it seems to be the same exact color as the brown "Gold" M1+ cartridge. Both came with a Dual 622 I found for $35.

I know new Grado stereo stylus goes for about $150. I think any Grado stylus will fit from what PIO said in an old post of his on AK that I read.

Sorry Robbin, did not see your post till today.
I am very familiar with this TT, I have a 1200 and a 120 (audiophile version) which came with just the armboard. I checked and the rubber base is available on ebay for around $30 or so, probably less. Yours has the feet and they are pricey.

I completely rebuilt mine with all new parts, even powder coated the plinth Ferrari red.
I think I posted a picture on AK at some point.
Gorgeous table but don't use it much. Mine has Shure V15 type III and IV (I have two headshells).

New OEM parts are readily available and very reasonably priced. TT is very easy to work on. Detailed instructions are available on the internet.

I bought a tone arm assembly from a guy in the Bay Area for $300...he also does the whole power coating thing too and sells 1200s for about $1100-$1300.
I am thinking about buying one of those Ortofon carts/stylus (Blue or Red 2M i think) headshells that are made just for the 1200.

Even though they sound great after a while you kinda start to pick up some of the things common to all turntables if not everything is set up just right.
Still sounds better than other tables I have though. Some of my vinyl has sibilance issues and once you hear that you start to always hear even the slightest lol. Still gotta have those cds lol...

It's also been too long since I had my 1600-2 apart, but I don't recall any problems putting it back together.
