News is debris has been found that an expert says are pieces off the sub. Presumably only a catastrophic failure would have separated these pieces from the rest. Have to figure hull failure and implosion now. At the pressures that thing faced, any defect could be deadly. Anyway, sounds like occupants died about instantly, not from slow oxygen starvation.

Was listening to NPR briefly yesterday. They mentioned that the maker of this sub decided to break all the rules, ignoring best practices and avoiding government oversight. Sounded like a recipe for disaster.

Shame and sad.

Father it was said guilt tripped son to go...

Might not be PC and or to soon.....

Going all independent mad scientist forgoing regulations and oversight. Then when something like this happens, expecting the world to save you!

Who will be paying the bill for the rescue and now recovery plus how much???
