The question in the envelope no one's opened yet is who will be the Democratic presidential nominee for the 2024 run? For 2020 the Democratic support coalesced behind Biden as the best chance to unseat tRump. I think the Dems need someone with a lot more fire. Don't get me wrong, Biden is a nice guy but something tells me a lot of voices will be calling for a candidate willing to be not so nice on the Repubs.

I doubt that Sinema or Manchin will switch parties as they would have to become McConnell's lapdogs like all Republican Senators are.

Like it or not Democrats will have compromise to get Sinema & Manchin's support for the reconciliation infrastructure bill.

These two are already acting more like Republicans than "moderate" Democrats.

Schiff calls House GOP leader Kevin McCarthy an 'insurrectionist in a suit and tie'

https://www.cnn.com/2021/10/12/polit...ntv/index.html

Gotta love Schiff. No question about it, these Repubes are traitors, and deserve to be treated as such.

If the Democrats don't act like the Repubs are the threat that they are that 'insurrectionist in a suit and tie' will be house majority leader in 2023. With the Senate in the hands of the tRumplicans they will do their best to see tRump in the WH next term.

Opinion: Thanks to Biden, Trump remains in the game

https://www.washingtonpost.com/opini...-remains-game/

The midterms typically go poorly and the Dems have a clear fault line. Its tremors are pushing some blues toward the red.

Midterms typically go poorly and the Dems are acting like it's a fate accompli. Biden was a good choice to beat tRump in 2020 but we need someone more to go against the Repubs in 2024.

So, Rickey, which democrat do you think would be the best bet for 2024? I don't see it being Kamala Harris or Elizabeth Warren. I would love to see Mayor Pete become president but I think that won't happen either.
Maybe there is a new up and comer out there.

If the Dems have something Biden would not have been their choice in 2020. 2024 is up for grabs. The Dems are creating a dangerous progressive/capitalist fault line. The Reps love capitalists, and as this fault line grows more and more blue capitalists will be turning red.
