"Snake Farm" written by the great Ray Wylie Hubbard, performed live, by the Paul Thorn Band, with some juicy, nasty, swamp slide guitar work by the amazing Bill Hinds...enjoy...

Indeed.

Listening to Quadrophenia by The Who.

The weather here is beautiful and I've got a few extra years added to my back. Sawbones did a discectomy and lamination last week. I aint dancing yet but I can get up and down the stairs to water and feed my herb garden. How's it going up there?

Natalia Lafourcade - Musas: Un Homenaje al Folclore Latinoamericano en Manos de Los Macorinos, Vol 1

Beautiful album of Latin American folk music on Cinco de Mayo, performed by one of Latin America's pop superstars (here in a very different mode).

Eric Burdon had some Latino blood in him ?

Do tell.

Source: DJ DiscoCat

In 1970, he left the Animals and recorded "Spill The Wine" with War, a Latin band from Long Beach, CA who backed him until 1971. Producer Jerry Goldstein had seen the band at a gig in Hollywood and became enamored of their distinctive sound.

The original members were Howard Scott, Lee Oskar, Lonnie Jordon, Charles Miller, Thomas Allen, Morris Dickerson and Harold Brown and all shared lead vocals. After the success of "Spill The Wine", Eric left and the band soldiered on to spread their message of brotherhood and harmony and spoke out against social inequalities and gangs.

Mexicans in this line up ? Zero

Hovhaness, Mysterious Mountain
Chicago Symphony Orchestra
Fritz Reiner
RCA Living Stereo, Red Seal

On my newly rebuilt ReVox B795 Linatrak with the Nagaoka MP200 cartridge.

At $500, the cart was not cheap but........MAN, WHAT A WONDERFUL SOUND for the money!

I think I've found my new favorite brand.

Que pasa
I was thinking along the lines of some music with a Mexican/Latin flavor. Specifically "The Cisco Kid" and "Lowrider"

WAR
From Wiki: "Formed in 1969, War is a musical crossover band that fuses elements of rock, funk, jazz, Latin, rhythm and blues, psychedelia, and reggae."
Yeah, originating from "across the pond" very little chance of Burdon having some Latin blood
