Whell’s World, of course, still believes climate change ain’t real, no matter the overwhelming evidence.
Insurance companies believe.

Republicans’ Climate Renegade: ‘You Can’t Argue with the Water Coming into Your Home’

Gosh, Whell, even someone with his head as far up his ass as you can actually learn by removing your head from said orifice. Try it sometime!

I think you Dems have to try it first. You know, lead by example. Be the change you want to see. Try it sometime! Do something constructive instead of constantly telling other people how much they suck, and blaming your issues on everyone else.

I'm referring to the simple fact that the most polluted areas in the United States, both right at this moment and in recent history, are for the most part run by Democrats.

The carbon output of China is more than double that of the US. And while the US's carbon output has come down since 2010, China's has risen dramatically. In spite of the recent "climate agreement" with China - which may be fine but also may not be worth the paper it's written on - China's use of fossil fuels shows no signs of slowing down. You can bitch about the US all you want, but the US is becoming less of a problem each year, while China is increasing.

So you, like the damn fool you are, can continue to say that folks like me are the problem. But I have nothing to do with California's, or Oregon's or Washington's or New York's issues.

In 2022, the top-performing state economies in terms of GDP increase were, in order:

Idaho
Tennessee
Florida
Georgia
Nevada
Texas
Colorado
North Carolina
New York
Oregon

Coincidentally the top 6 are Repub governor states and the rest are Dem governor states. Now agree or disagree, let's assume for the sake of discussion that there's a positive correlation between increasing GDP and increasing CO2 emissions. Note that since 2020, all of the states above increased CO2 emissions. The average CO2 increase across these 10 states since 2020 is 7.45%.

The average CO2 increase for the Repub states in the list above is 7.97%, (average GDP increase 4.01%), and for the Dem states it's 6.75% (average GDP growth increase 3.15%). I'd suggest that higher GDP growth in the Repub states explains that difference in carbon emissions.

But what about all 50 states. Believe it or not, Dem states increased CO2 emissions by
7%, while the increase for Repub states was 6.15%. So, regardless of GDP growth, Dems states had a greater increase of CO2 emissions than Repub states. SOURCE.

Bottom line - quit being a damned hypocrite. Until you and yours lead by example, you have no moral authority to bitch about anyone else.

ROFL, once again, you're using a very biased source - this one appears to be the state of TX and the fossil fuels industry. Guess which states are the biggest producers of CO2 emissions, both total and per Capita? Red states of course. But you go right ahead and point fingers, lol.

BTW, aren't you the yokel who started this thread, with an disreputable, fossil-fuel industry "report"? Have you finally conceded that global warming is real?

2023 Will Officially Be the Hottest Year on Record, Scientists Say
A new report finds the global average temperature so far this year is 1.46 degrees Celsius warmer than the pre-industrial average

And, as usual, you'd be completely wrong. Here's some info about the parent company:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_Ventures

While I have no insight into the politics of the owners of Red Ventures - I know that matters to folks like you who are only open to getting their information from a very narrow list of source - one of them is known as a pretty amazing guy: https://www.goldendoorscholars.org/gds-story

I'd much rather get my info from someone like this then some of the crap you're pedalling.

Aren't you the weasel who, in another thread, criticizes anyone who posts economics news that isn't flattering, and dismisses their opinions as doom and gloom from Fox News (even though I hardly ever post articles from their site or watch their cable shows)? Don't you find it hypocritical that you then come into this thread and link to all kinds of climate doom and gloom? Obviously, the irony is lost on you.

Doom and gloom? LOL. There's overwhelming scientific evidence that you, for some reason, choose to completely ignore about climate change. Why? Because your Dear Leader rants about windmills?

It's kinda amusing to read his replies after you call him out.

This week, Trump responding to political commentators that he will act like a dictator if elected said this (paraphrasing): He will be a dictator just on Day 1, close the southern border and edict drill, drill, drill.

Just like there's plenty of objective evidence that the economy is slowing - which is exactly what the Fed has been trying to accomplish. Hiring is slowing down as a result. And while the rate of inflation has come down from its recent heights, costs for consumers are still going up well above the Fed's target 2% target.

But in Chicks world, it's OK to ignore such evidence or brush it off as "gloom and doom". And at the same time, the entire history of climate change reporting has been a broken record of predictions that are most certainly doom and gloom, and many of these never pan out.

So, here we go again with you flapping your hypocritical gums. Do so if you want to, but be prepared to join the ranks of folks like Al Gore, who famously predicted in 2006 that the climate would reach an irreversible “point of no return” by 2016. Hell, he even got a Nobel Prize after making such dire claims, so apparently doom and gloom sells pretty well with the folks in Oslo.

You'll also join the likes of Professor Thomas Lovejoy, who thought in 1993 that the "point of no return" for the climate would occur by the mid-2000s.

If you really want to go for the brass ring, try and ramp up the doom and gloom to the heights reached by the left's hero Paul Ehrlich. Ol' Paul, who is still alive and kicking as far as I know, wanted to make birth control involuntary because a major famine would make it impossible for the world to feed its population by 1975. The last picture I saw of Paul, he looked like he was eating pretty well.

But hey, Chickie, you be you!
