Interesting the article re the debates in the Atlantic in recalling past debates from the Kennedy/Nixon one onward refers to Theodore White's book "The Making of the President" suggests that they are all about image and not content. In other words watch them with the sound turned off if you wish to see who is the winner. Maybe I'll try that.

If that was true how many in this country would see them both for what they really are
