Hillary's Health versus the Docs

http://www.prnewswire.com/news-relea...300325065.html

TUCSON, Ariz., Sept. 8, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Concerns about Hillary Clinton's health are "serious—could be disqualifying for the position of President of the U.S.," say nearly 71% of 250 physicians responding to an informal internet survey by the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons (AAPS).

Yup, it's a "conservative" group. However, 71%? Using the scientific standard of proof that's applied to, say, global warming, that could represent a consensus among doctors.

Dug into AAPS online a little. Their website hosts pro-Trump propaganda, replete with ripe 'aren't those PC liberals awful' rhetoric:

Is Hillary Clinton Medically Unfit to Serve?
Aug 10, 2016

By Jane M. Orient, M.D.

Some Republicans as well as Democrats have used the term “unfit to serve” about Donald Trump, based on things he said, and what they assume he might have meant.

Surely his style can be abrasive and blunt. But a huge number of ordinary Americans cheer him, probably because he said what they were thinking. They don’t have an evil, ungenerous, uncompassionate, racist, bigoted heart, and they assume he is like them.
They are sick of being pushed around and disrespected by the politically correct crowd who are hypersensitive about almost everything--but constantly spew profane, obscene, and vulgar language that demeans American and Christian culture and blames it for all the world’s evil.

Not the sort of thing one expects from a professional organization. Surprised the heck out of me, actually. The rot is spreading.

Actually that's probably not the sample you wanted to offer, since there is some truth in there. Just ask Ann Coulter. She showed up at a Hollywood shindig the other night, and was publicly called a "c- -t" and a "racist c--t" a number of times from the stage. Now, if she had said something similar about, say, Rachel Maddow, the lefty blogosphere, HuffPo and Mother Jones would be in full meltdown mode right now.

Hmmm, I was not hip to AAPS, but it seems they have been wing nuts forever. Here's a bit from a Mother Jones briefing on them:

Quote:
Yet despite the lab coats and the official-sounding name, the docs of the AAPS are hardly part of mainstream medical society. Think Glenn Beck with an MD. The group (which did not return calls for comment for this story) has been around since 1943. Some of its former leaders were John Birchers, and its political philosophy comes straight out of Ayn Rand. Its general counsel is Andrew Schlafly, son of the legendary conservative activist Phyllis. The AAPS statement of principles declares that it is "evil" and "immoral" for physicians to participate in Medicare and Medicaid, and its journal is a repository for quackery. Its website features claims that tobacco taxes harm public health and electronic medical records are a form of "data control" like that employed by the East German secret police. An article on the AAPS website speculated that Barack Obama may have won the presidency by hypnotizing voters, especially cohorts known to be susceptible to "neurolinguistic programming"—that is, according to the writer, young people, educated people, and possibly Jews.

Whell, you would do well not to take trash from the AAPS seriously.

Poor Ann. She is nothing but one of the nation's biggest public trolls. Makes herself as outrageous as she can, then complains that she gets called names.

Of course, she wants it and profits from it.

And regardless of how much you may appreciate the rhetoric, whell, be assured it marks the AAPS as a wingnut group, not the respectable professional organization as they try to present thenselves.

The AAPS propagandists probably made up their data, of course. Doubt this wingnut group could get the number of respondents they claim to their loaded survey.

Watch a few clips of Hillary's coughing fits and you see her coughing directly into the mic, or barely turning away. A normal person would turn at least 90 degrees. Some think it's just a stall tactic to run out the clock when being queistioned, but looks like she's emphasizing the cough to me, wants to make it prominent news.

If this were NOT an internet survey, and it was seeking respondents from the AMA, there would be zero respondents. Medical professionals do not offer a remote diagnosis without seeing a patient before offering a considered opinion about fitness for duty.

Anyone, and I mean anyone, who has participated in an annual fitness for duty physical knows this.

At my niece's wedding last weekend, 100% of the queried physicians had a uniform considered opinion that Hillary was being raked regarding her medical history. Eight physicians, including a radiologist, four GIs, a cardiologist, and two GPs(all Republicans) thought Hillary was mentally sharp, and exhibited few signs of any progressive decline in her public appearances.
