However, there's no doubt that most editorials slant liberal on social issues. Did WaPo, NY Time, LA Times, Chicago Trib, etc. post editorials of their opposition to gay marriage, for example? Opposition to Roe V Wade? Health care reform (you might find editorials critical of the execution or the legislative process but not much negative about the intent behind the law itself). If they did in any significant volume, I sure didn't see them.
Kristol, and no doubt Douthat, are also part of the "never Trump" crowd.
