So its perfectly OK to lie about your opponent, supported by not a shred of evidence, if it furthers your political goals?

"Many news orgs have concluded there's no evidence that any foreign Chamber money is funding elections here. But Axelrod pushed back, asking why news orgs aren't more irked by the Chamber's lack of disclosure."

This from the party that made Charlie Tre a household name...

Kinda like Obama is a Kenyan or a Muslim? Or that McCain had a black love child (George Bush) or that Max Cleland was not a war hero (Saxby Chambliss)? Or that Hillary murdered Vince Foster?

Maybe let's return to the OP and decide whether this guy Barton is a total dick or not. I vote for total dick.

Whell - were you changing the subject to provide cover for this cretin?

No, more to your point that this behavior has, sadly, become de rigueur in American political life from all sides of the spectrum.

Hillary murdered Vince Foster? I hadn't heard that one, though I had heard something about an alleged affair. Weird.

Boss Limbaugh has made numerous references to his views on this matter.

Your original citation said nothing about that. If you are trying to insinuate that Obama was somehow responsible for the activist group that staged a hoax, you had better check out your own truth meter. I will stand by my comment that I fully support the position the Obama administration took in that article.

I find it kind of comical to hear a lobbyist complain that he doesn't have the ear of the White House. The Chamber of Commerce is upset because they don't have an advance opportunity to negotiate over the content of legislation. I guess they got spoiled by eight years of a corporate White House. Nope. No more legislation drafted by business interests for business interests.

D-Ray

Quite simple really, all these organizations need do is reveal the true source of the funds. Their refusal to do so is tantamount to saying the charges are true.

I am a firm believer in full disclosure for all political funds. Valuable info, assuming voters are halfway intelligent
