They're stretching it. If the man owns property there, pays local taxes and never officially changed his residency, then YES, he is a resident. The entire time I was in the service, my legal residency was Newton Falls, Ohio, although I actually lived in San Diego, California.
You think he will wiggle out of it because of his connections. I think this only came up because the opposition party is out to get him. And they will stretch the rules until they snap in their attempts to succeed. Oh, that's right, Republicans would never do such a thing, it isn't "moral". Please. Dave

Seems like he'll find a way to get it done if the bar for proving residency is this low.
