If gun legislation gets passed it will reduce the NRA's power over politicians.
With an assault weapon ban Repub politicians will no longer get money to block such a ban.

The whole thing makes me sick. And, I saw Senator Cruz on tv yesterday telling people democrats want to take guns out of the hands of responsible gun owners. Is it impossible for him to say anything truthful?

NRA often makes the statement that all citizens in Switzerland are required to own a gun, but omit the fact that minimum wage in Switzerland is $25/hr.
