Obama has been president for 4 years now, You're still blaming Bush? When the average recession lasts 13 months? And of course earlier in this thread, there was the obligatory blaming of Reagan.

You guys should really think about putting "apologist" on your resumes.

There is absolutely nothing "average" about this recession. The closest comparison would be the depression which lasted a decade.

Why? Who here is apologizing for anything?

So, tell me;

Is there anything at all the Republican Party has ever done wrong?
Or, is every failure, no matter how blatant and obvious, the result of some (imaginary) insideous left wing plot?

Maybe people hear the GOP lay out their vision for the future and honestly think it sucks? (Or stinks of some sort of perverse mix of theocracy and corporate plutocratic fascism...............like I do?)

Regards,
Dave

This recession is a damn sight closer to the one in 1929 that lasted for ten years - ask me how I know.

Because wages for the workers have actually been declining, probably so they can hand out those fat bonuses to Mahogany Row.

Whell ANY bad news during Obama's reign is obviously someone else's fault.

His lazer vision didn't work very well.

Really? I've yet to hear the Administration or refer to it as a depression? In fact, quite the opposite. We've heard about the "recovery" in the stock market, and we have had positive (though somewhat anemic) economic growth. Since there's positive economic growth, that's generally not the economic formula for a recession, much less a depression. In fact, we were told that the current recession ended in 2009.

You got some inside scoop that no one else does Erik?

Bush did drive the economy into the ditch, whell. That's a fact. And when you say that the average recession lasts 13 months, toy fail to take into account that this was far from an "average" recession. It was the worst economic disaster since the Great Depression so the fact that it took 17 or 18 months to get out of this recession is far from surprising.

I wonder if you're as bad a winner as you are a loser.

I doubt I'll ever have the chance to find that out.

John
