Back to the car decision - my sister had a Mini, says it was very reliable - it was the Cooper S and a stick, so that's out.

Guy that works for me has a Prius - I've driven it around - his family has 3 of them. It has all the personality of a cardboard box and no pickup, but I'm leaning that way because of mileage and Toyota reliability.

Drove a Fiat 500 the other day - fun and the size I'd like for downtown, but at highway speed on the bridges it feels flimsy and almost cringes when a semi rolls by.

I rented a Ford Focus hatchback a while back and liked it - going to check out the Fiesta, too.
